Day 75: Glacier Bowl

June 20, 2011. Jim took me for a drive on dirt roads by Camp Floyd, Utah. I was in heaven and while we were technically heading in the same direction as the paved road would take us, the scenery was completely different. Which is how I got to see this particular view of the mountain. I was enthralled with the relatively uniform curvature of the bowl. Jim told me it means this was formed by glaciers, rather than running rivers and streams, which create V shapes. Whatever caused it, I like it. I would LOVE to be there for a dawn shot. Problem is, not sure I can remember how to get there, and pretty certain I can’t get Jim out of bed that early!

About Elizabeth Foote

A recent weekend getaway with a gaggle of gifted photographers helped me realize I have a good eye, reaffirmed my passion for photography, and showed me I can create my own style without copying anyone else's. I want to do more with photography, I want to tap into the dormant artist in my soul and share with others the world as I see it.
